EPAFactory EPdetect 3.64 released

Our new release contains several new features and new scan has been added to the EPscan range.

 

 

1. Full Support for AAC4.5 hot fix 1

Our latest EPAClient has been compiled with the new EPA SDK from Citrix and now contains all the security fixes addressed by hot fix 1.

2. Introducing the Clientless Client Scan

The clientless client scan is a server side AAC scan that can detect certain properties of a client device without actually running any End Point Analysis on the end point. The CCS can detect which operating system a device is running even on operating systems that AAC doesn't support End Point Analysis on. Windows Vista for example. 3. Low Security Option in EPdetect Anti Virus

The Low Security Option in EPdetect allows an administrator to specify certain AV vendors to override if a particular version of that vendors product is not currently supported by EPdetect. For example if EPdetect was to detect a product called "Trend unknown product" this means EPdetect knows a Trend Micro AV product is installed but doesn?t currently support the particular version detected. Adding Trend to the override list will still allow the scan to pass in this scenario.
