azeti Updates

azeti networks is releasing new verions of its appliances software with many upgrades and new features.

The azeti upgrades result in a lot of new features. The updates are installed as usual via the azeti portal. The only requirement is a valid Liveupdate contract.

• Complete migration from Nagios 1.x to 2.9
• E-Mail alarms can be tested
• The timeframe for checks is fixed to 5 minutes now instead of 2 hours, which resulted in a lot of support calls.
• On the azeti 3000 up to 50 services can now be monitored graphically. Graphs are plotted for a 24 month period and can be zoomed to

• Two new agent versions in the azeti portal that can monitor file size as well.
• The unix agents are fully developed and deliver all information that the windows agents can deliver. The unix agents is Sun Solaris Sparc and Intel compatible.
• The agents are equipped with an interface to connect self developed checks.
• A new "check_azeti" has been developed in order to monitor agents.

• The MTA was completly rebuild in order to enhance performance dramatically.
• The "Blind Date Database" can be resettet in order to relearn the filter at any given time.

• azeti C by default now works as a blocking proxy. Without configuration no web access is possible.
• Blacklist configuration is shown full text.
• azeti-C contains an agent so it can be checked by azeti-A.
